Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in the city! This week alone marks my third visit, and I still can’t get enough. Every dish is full of authentic flavor, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve traveled straight to Mexico. A huge shoutout to Neto, the incredible owner and host. His warmth, hospitality, and spot-on recommendations always make the experience even better. From the mouthwatering chicken to the unforgettable Colima Special Menu which, by the way, is a total winner ; everything is cooked with heart. I’m already planning to come back again this week… because honestly, my belly deserves this kind of happiness!
Overall, the place offers great authentic food while providing an exceptional service. It seems that Neto’s mission is to make sure that you feel in Mexico, and so far he has accomplished it. As a person who resided in China for the longest time, witnessing how restaurants shutdown and open up throughout my 8 years, I can see why Tequila Coyote’s still open. This place’s target does not focus on making the place “instagramable”— though it could capture some of essence, but to provide an environment wherein you eat authentic food in a great location. There’s only a reason why Tequila coyotes still “the king” of the mexican food in China, even through covid, and that is its formula: fresh ingredients, authentic, and great service

Hard to believe that a Mexican restaurant in China could be authentic, but Tequila Coyotes managed to bring Mexican flavors all the way to Shenzhen, I can taste Yucatán, CDMX and Chihuahua here, always in the mezcal, with the oranges and the worm salt, micheladas and tequila company, all perfectly put together with the kindness and attention of Neto, who is looking after you. Thank you Neto for making me feel like home
The food is delicious!!! In addition to having a quite extensive menu, they have new recipes every week, like the new recipes with chicharrón. The green chicharrón is spectacular, spicy enough to enjoy your margarita even more. The gorditas are perfect for meat lovers with bread, and the protein bars…OMG! An explosion of flavor. Highly recommended. Besides, the service is the best, thank you Neto for being so kind and creative with your new recipes, I love them!!! I really enjoyed my lunch today!!
Awesome place in Shenzhen. The owner is authentic and greets everyone with a smile. He recommended the special ribeye tacos with bone marrow sauce. Out of this world delicious. Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you are from US or Mexico and miss the food back home.
Absolutely outstanding. Tequila Coyote’s serves Mexican food at a level that is honestly hard to find, even in Europe. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, the meat incredibly tender, and the salsas fresh and full of flavour. Everything tasted truly authentic, not adapted or watered down. Amazing atmosphere, great drinks, and very friendly service. One of the best Mexican food experiences I have had anywhere.

Authentic Mexican food is difficult to travel out of Mexico, however this is the most authentic Mexican food i have tasted out of Mexico, the passion given by the chef and staff is really outstanding, very friendly atmosphere, location is perfect, i try the different spicy sauce, habanero was my fav. I visit in 2 different occasions, i tasted the main dishes , steak in charcoal are out of this world , pork ribs so tender , the volcano tostada pastor is unbeatable (don't miss it), we will come back , Neto is an amazing guy handling his business, place worth visit in Shenzhen 😍
An unforgettable, truly authentic Mexican experience This was hands down one of the best Mexican meals I’ve ever had. We told the owner we wanted something authentic, and he surprised us with a selection of dishes made with real passion and tradition. Every single plate was outstanding — bold flavors, perfect balance, and clearly made from the heart. A solid 10/10. What made the experience even more special was the owner himself. Incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He didn’t just serve food — he shared the stories, recipes, and culture behind each dish. You can truly feel his love and respect for Mexican cuisine. This is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. If you’re in Shenzhen, this place is an absolute must-visit. Thank you for an amazing evening — we will definitely come back!
